is the nation’s largest sports magazine, published weekly by . Its weekly print circulation in 2010 was around and its web traffic ranks of the web’s sports sites.

Sports Illustrated has been one of sports journalism’s leading institutions since the 1960s, though it has been in recent years for moving away from long-form journalism and toward lighter features and pop culture coverage.

In 2008, the magazine debuted SI Vault, a free online archive dating back to its founding in 1954.

Sports Illustrated with fellow Time Warner property CNN from 1996 through 2013, including the formation of the cable network CNN/SI, which ran from 1996 to 2002.

Sports Illustrated on its front page in 2014, along with its fellow Time Inc. title Time magazine. In 2014, an indicated that Time Inc. was evaluating SI’s online writers for their production of content benefiting advertiser relationships.
