is a television network news organization. It is a division of , a network owned by the .

ABC News’ programs include its evening newscast , late-night news program , morning show and Sunday morning talk show .

World News and Good Morning America are typically the American news programs in their genre, behind NBC. ABC News also had the  U.S. news site as of April 2011.

ABC News hosted a of World News from through January 2010 and continues to produce a . The network’s webcasts have gone through over those four years. The network also began in 2005.

ABC News has a with Yahoo, in which the two organizations combine their web traffic and much of their online content. The arrangement, announced in October 2011, calls for ABC News to produces web video series for Yahoo and for Yahoo to produce Good Morning America‘s web content. A year later, the two sites together were reaching the , and their partnership accounted for nearly one-half of the general news videos watched online.

In February 2010, ABC News it would be of its 1,400-person staff. The cuts came with to more closely connect broadcast and the web, dramatically expand the use of digital journalists and train employees on new technology. The network had previously been using the “one-person-crew” model with its and planned to expand it throughout the organization.

ABC was the first television network to offer an iPad app, allowing users to watch its shows free in April 2010. The app met . ABC News in July 2010. It was also the first major TV news outlet to , in 2014.

In March 2010, an ABC News executive was reported saying the network is that would be unveiled in summer 2010. However, no further details of such a plan have been revealed.
